We have received 1.50 in. of rain this week, so the ground is muddy.  Spring has arrived in full swing with lilac and golden current leafing out and my daylilies and iris are coming up already too.  One daffodil bloomed this week, and we had our first mosquito in the house this week as well.  I know it is early March, but it feels like it is too much Spring already.  The star of Bethlehem has so many shoots up in my yard parts of it are already green and I see mowing in my immediate future.  I will start yard work this weekend after the rain ends.  It has been cool this week and daily humidity levels are rising (no more need for the indoor humidifiers).  Birds are not eating as much seed from the feeders either.
