Another below Normal month of precipitation, with february only providing 0.58" of precipitation. 7" snowfall ten days ago provided some minimal relief, but no precipitation has occurred since the event. Surface soils are quickly returning to dry and snow melt runoff in creeks is winding down. Birds frequenting the birdbath and some goldfinch seem to have moved into the area after the northern flock did not arrive.Some spring plants have started to emerge after the snowfall and warm temperatures.
