Rainfall for the week was 3.21", bringing February's total to 7.47"--108% of normal. Water Year stands at 39.89", 116% of normal. Ruth Lake Reservoir, on 2/26, was at 118% capacity. During the Atmospheric River this past week, the rivers rose quickly, most to monitor level. However, the Eel River rose to over 24 feet, the highest level in 5 years, but all the rivers lowered quickly after the rain stopped. The California drought map remains free of any level of dryness. The Trinity and Klamath River's temperatures rose several degrees this week, while the ocean remains in the mid 50s. February's average temperatures were above normal at 59.3F and 45.6F. Over-winter birds remain, and as more plants bloom, hummingbirds aren't frequenting the feeders as much as usual.
