We've had 1.26" of rain this month, but conditions remain exceptionally dry. Warming weather and winds are drying us out even more--which we do not need, particularly after extended drought. We've had several "red flag" days, with windy conditions and abundant dry matter on the ground. Pond levels remain about 24 inches below normal, and many have had substantial mud rings and scummy water throughout this Winter. Pastures are starting to green up, crocuses and daffodils are blooming, and trees have started to bud. Substantial rains would be a real blessing at this point.
