The soil is dry and dusty and plant growth has slowed.  There has not been any precipitation for a few weeks. The 0.19 inch of February precipitation is below the NOAA normal of 0.51.  Our water supply is adequate with a steady flow in the Rio Grande River.  Snowpack in the Sandia Mountains is almost gone and the ski resort has closed for the season.
