Scale Bar: Mildly Wet
Description:
For week of 22-28 Feb: (0+ 0+ 55.0+ 0+ 6.0+ 0+ 0)= 61.0 SWE mm. Mildly Wet. High's: -2C to +6C; Low's: +1C to -10C; Wind: calm to NV to 35km/hr; Frost: 2 heavy, 1 medium; SOG: 22cm to 42cm to 37cm. This week we had a full out blizzard through Monday afternoon. It was nasty weather with zero visibility. Crazy drifting of snow. Took 2hrs of shovelling and snow blowing to get to my gauge post, in the yard behind the house. We went from 22cm SOG prior to blizzard, to 42cm after blizzard to 37cm after much melting, due to day time high's of +6C and no wind. The past few days have been gorgeous weather with blue sky, sun and calm. Lots of shovelling and scraping of slush and ice to prevent jagged freezing overnight. Roadways are clear. Still snow piles in parking lots. School buses busy. Depending on where you are, the ground can be bare or covered in puddles. Icy in the morning. All totalled, Feb brought us 100cm of snow. That's a lot. Bodes well for spring Run-off.
