Rain continues to be extremely scarce here in west Central Florida—this past week we only recorded rainfall on one single day—giving us a weekly rainfall total of 0.34”.  The lack of rain, combined with heavy water usage by residents and visitors, has now created a severe water shortage and authorities have imposed severe water usage restrictions.
