The local river, the Elkhart River appears to be at a typical level for this time of year. The area has just experienced a snowmelt event with only a small amount of rain. 

Yesterday’s rain resulted in a dirty residue being left on the surface of vehicles and the collected water in my gauge was cloudy this morning.
