Conditions are mildly dry.  Pond level slightly below normal.  Top foot of soil profile near normal.  The soil profile below 1 foot is still dry.  This may have a minor effect on some plants in about 2 weeks when spring begins unless we get another significant rainfall this week.  We were fortunate to get a significant rainfall several days ago.  Doe Run Lake Reservoir still on the low side in Kenton County; but not as low.  Also A. J. Jolly lake in Campbell County still is low; but not as low as it was a week ago.  This lake still is too low to use the boating docks.  It is still winter yet; but may affect boating in this park when spring comes in 2 weeks unless we get another significant rainfall in late February.
