Even though we have received 1.12 inches of rain yesterday, we are still dry with respect to our ground level water. So far, we have received 1.36 inches of precipitation this month. This puts us about average on a per diem basis. More precipitation is forecast for later this week.
The Forsythia has a new shoot with many buds on it. All the other vegetation appears dormant.
We have are seeing some additional species such as a Pine Siskins and Warblers. The feed is going down fast even though the weather is milder than last week. I think the number of birds finding our feeders has increased.
