This time of the year effects of our drought are somewhat difficult to see. Rivers and streams are still flowing but their water is low. Water streaming out of rock outcroppings are greatly reduced. This can be witnessed when freeing temperatures make the water more visible. Signs of Spring are more noticeable with this recent warming spell. Robins have been seen and a noticeable increase in raccoon and skunk activity is evident. Our local ski industry is doing quite well with a good amount of natural and man-made snow on the slopes.
