With no observed precipitation in the past week, conditions at this station are mildly dry. Patchy snow and ice cover remain but have melted significantly with warm temperatures, reaching over 50°F. Still, that pesky nuisance ice just won't disappear. We are hoping for the snow usually present in a MN February. Open patches of grass and plant matter reveal dry, frozen earth. Wildlife is present but hesitant, coming out for water and grazing though there is little to forage. Water in outdoor containers stays open most of the day.
