As reported by Jeff Bardelli our local meteorologist, we are in a small pocket of severe drought surrounded by extreme drought.  Lawns are definitely browning from their previously stressed state.  
The oak trees here are just starting to shed their leaves. It looks as if we have many dead leaves on the trees to come down.
