The snow is gone, except for the street pile from my cul-de-sac. Even though the ground is still relatively frozen, my test patch is still dry as a bone 3 inches down. Most of the snowmelt never soaked into the soil. The local Winter Wheat Crop is looking to be starved for moisture, as we have had zero rainfall since the snow. Native Vegetation is dry and will support low, slow-moving ground fires. Lakes and ponds are below normal levels, with streams and creeks flowing well below norms.
