Station Name: Clementsport 0.6 SE
Report Date: 2/14/2026
Submitted: 2/14/2026 11:41 AM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
Another 20cm of new snow over this past week amounting to 16.2 liquid equivalent. So although it's all locked up in snow, we're not short of water. I measured the snowpack yesterday, 13 Feb, at 35cm, up from 26.4 on 6 Feb. The SWE of the snowpack is now 58.7mm up from 42.4mm on 6 Feb. The ground under the heavy snowpack is not frozen. Temperatures remain around normal with the occasional extra cold night when skies were clear. I'm starting to hear the spring songs of cardinals and chickadees. More ducks are on the Annapolis Basin (saltwater): black ducks and now mallards. This week I saw a flock of around 30 American Robins near the Basin. There are fewer tracks of deer. Coyotes were howling at least on one night this past week, also raccoons making noise.
