Description:
Total Accumulation:
Approximately 1.19" to 1.42" of total liquid precipitation has been recorded as of mid-February.

Departure from Normal: Rainfall is roughly 72% to 76% below average for this time of year. The region is currently about 3 inches below its typical year-to-date rainfall total.

January 2026: Totaled approximately (~1.96") of rainfall. Notable daily events included 0.15" on January 14.
February 2026 (to date): Recorded a modest (~0.21") as of February 13.

Recent Events & Outlook
Snowfall: A recent winter event brought roughly 3.3 to 10 inches of snow to the area. However, because 10 inches of snow typically correlates to only 1 inch of liquid precipitation, this did not significantly alleviate the dry conditions.
Drought Status: Due to the persistent lack of rain, extreme drought conditions have returned to the region for the first time in over 17 years.
