Snow finished melting with the warm temperatures. Ground is still springy from the moisture. The ephemeral creek still has pools of water and the field is still a bit muddy. The crocus bloomed January 13, right on time. The daffodils are locking out of the ground and one has even bloomed. That’s two weeks earlier than has been recorded in 10 years.
