Exposed soil is moderately dry, even after all of the snow covering it for some time. The exposed vegetation is dry, but will not support combustion. Lakes and ponds are still well below normal pond levels. Streams and creeks are still frozen, but starting to slush up. There has been no appreciable precipitation since our last big snow. Depths varied greatly from only a few inches deep to a couple of feet in drifts.
