Description:
A dry week with 0.10" on Sunday, high 66.2, low 44.8.Drought map this week shows Del Norte back in the lowest level, D0--abnormally dry.  The rivers have been running clear, but low, bringing out many fishermen..However, several have been closed due to low flow--Redwood Creek, Mattel and Van Duzen.  Taking affect March 3, the NWS Eureka office announced changes in both the Public Forecast Zones and the Fire Weather Zones.  The changes were made in consultation with state, federal, tribal and fire agencies, to better align the zones with county boundaries, topography  and micro-climate areas.  The PFZ will add 3 in Trinity and Lake counties, while the FWZ will go from 10 to 21.  Del Norte, Humboldt, Trinity, Mendocino and Lake counties will be affected.
