Creeks and seeps had some interesting ice formations earlier in the week. One morning we had 3 turkeys in the north hay and front yard. Haven't seen them in a while; when you're used to cardinals and blue jays under the feeder they're mighty big birds. First sighting we've had since 9/15/25. Deer made several daytime appearances, bucks still hanging on to antlers. Friday warmed to 45F and started melting the 3.0" snowpack. Cooler, but lots of sun on Saturday kept the polar ice cap retreating. Wild garlic is poking up through the remaining snow.
