Winter conditions continue. Very little snow this week, just one day with 0.17". It has been on the cold side with overnight temps mostly in the teens. We enjoyed two days with temps getting a little above freezing. The warmth and bright sun brought down some of the icicles hanging off the roof and lightened some of the ice dams building up. Several of us put our snow rakes to use this week, it has been several years since we needed those. A few friends and family are getting leaks in their houses from the ice dams building up.
Birds, rabbits and squirrels are still out and about. The fox that left prints in the snow recently has not returned.
The local ski area is still open for business and seems quite busy when I drive by.
