A mild and dry week with high temperatures in the upper 50's to low 60's and no precipitation falling. The high of the week was 63° last Sunday. Lows were in the 20's all week except on Thursday when the low was 19°. The patchy snow that was still in the shady areas has melted. A little breezy on a few days but nothing strong. Plant life in the surrounding wildland areas is still dormant. In the garden, daylilies are coming out of dormancy and starting to grow. These plants are one of the first of the season to come out of dormancy but this is the earliest that I've seen. A hyacinth is starting to bloom and a daffodil is getting ready to bloom. Saw a dark-eyed junco and robin in the yard. No other wildlife seen.
