There is still some soil moisture left over from the 0.56 of precipitation 2 weeks ago. Due to the very warm winter so far, heat stored in the ground is enhancing plant growth, and plants and birds are healthy. Some tree buds are opening for spring, earlier than usual. Earlier this week there was a small nighttime bosque fire which did not spread, but fire danger is expected to increase in a few days in dry breezy weather. There is little snow in the Sandia mountains. Our water supply is adequate with a consistent flow of water in the river.
