The past week has brought us plenty of cold weather and some snow but that melted to less than a quarter of an inch total precipitation. The below freezing weather has frozen the surface of the ground preventing the snow from melting into the soil. The majority of the snow is ablating in the direct sunlight. We have seen fresh deer tracks in the snow, they are apparently quite active. The water in the pond has a frozen ice on the surface but it remains below the level of the outflow. No water is flowing downstream to the lake.
