The soil is still moist from the storm of Jan. 24-25 and the cold nights since then. Our January total precipitation was 1.17 inches, more than twice the NOAA normal of 0.50. The current water year total of 3.04 is slightly above the NOAA normal of 2.94. Rio Grande River flow has been steady. Our water supply is adequate. There are no fire weather concerns through late next week. Sandia Mountain snowpack is adequate for skiing, but thin spots are forming due to melting snow.
