Drought conditions continue for a very dry January with very little precipitation for the month. A snow this week was helpful although not as much as expected.  Very cold this week and the snow is evaporating. A few deer are around but not much activity. Shoal Creek is very low and mostly frozen over.  The ground is perhaps 75% snow covered by the end of the week. wild fire danger is low due to the snow covering.
