Since the last report, there has been about an inch and a quarter of (melted) liquid precipitation, maintaining overall conditions as mildly wet. Fire danger remains at a Low rating. Animal activity continues subdued, apart from a few sightings of squirrels and deer tracks in the snow. Resumption of classes at two nearby universities has been accompanied by a marked increase in business at local retail outlets and restaurants. The (now frozen) pond at the low spot of a nearby field has grown somewhat. Local reservoir's level remains high. Media articles report a decline in cases of seasonal flu.
