The temps have been in the deepfreeze this past week.  We did receive snow on a couple occasions that proved it doesn't take a lot of snow to create white-out conditions.  The deer are gathering in herds early evenings searching for food in the fields.  It is difficult contemplating there can still be that many in the area after hunter season is over, but 30 at a time is way too many.  They eat crops year round and are partial to alfalfa, cover crop, and soybeans.  Not many birds at the feeder tho they must appreciate it with the cold temps and snow cover.
