Description:
For the week ending 1/25/2026, conditions were NEAR NORMAL. The 7-day cumulative precipitation total of 1.10 inches was 41% above the 13-year (2009-2022) average of 0.78 inches and in the “near normal” range; the 30-day total of 4.78 inches was 40% above the expected 13-year average of 3.42 inches and in the “mildly wet” range; and the 90-day total of 9.65 inches was 6% below the expected 13-year average of 10.25 inches and in the “mildly dry” range. There were 7 days of measurable precipitation, with a maximum of 0.32 inches on the 20th (all from snow). There were 7 days of Snowfall (total of 14.2 inches, max of 3.8 inches on the 20th) & 7 days of Snowpack (average of 9.0 inches). Temps ranged from 35 F (on the 21st) to -8 F (on the 24th), with average Hi/Lo temps of 21/6 F (-26/-26 relative to last week). Precipitation Trends—January-to-Date Totals: 2.45 inches (down 0.06 inches, 97% of PRISM Normal). Winter Conditions (November 1-to-Date)—New Snow on 36 days, with total of 63.8 inches (vs 17-year averages of 23 days and 40.9 inches); Snow Pack on 50 days, with average daily depth of 5.1 inches (vs 17-year averages of 35 days and 4.6 inches). In summary, this was a week of harshly cold temps, endless snowfall, and treacherous driving conditions.
