We have finally gotten some moisture! I have 6.5" on the ground which has melted down to .61" for the two days. It's still snowing though it's due to move out by noon today, so there will be a little more to add tomorrow.

It will be interesting to see how this changes the soil moisture level. I fear it won't make much difference, but any little bit is better than nothing.

I had at least 20 cardinals and loads of smaller birds in my yard as it snowed yesterday. I have two bird feeders and have suddenly become the hot spot for the birds in the neighborhood. I will likely have to refill the feeders today. The cardinals have been fun and beautiful to watch against the white snow.
