A Winter Storm is ongoing at this time across the area, and this has resulted in a decent accumulation of sleet in addition to ice accretion on elevated surfaces. Our seven day precipitation total for this week is 1.55" inches, and based on forecasts we have more precipitation expected in a hour or so. Next, our soil moisture had started to improve when the precipitation started as rain yesterday, however additional improvement is expected once the water melts in a few days and begins absorbing into our soil. Lastly, area wildlife that I have spotted this morning have mainly been birds, and much of our trees limbs are sagging low due to the ice accretion on the limbs.
