Now above normal liquid equivalent for the month (1.12 received, .87 normal). Cracks in bare soil before the snow. Creek about normal and now frozen. Saw some birds and squirrels earlier this week. But yesterday just before the snow started, a huge flock of what had to have been hundreds of birds landed on mostly my neighbor's yard and roof. Could barely see any grass there were so many. Some came to my yard as well. They left several minutes later. Strange sight.
