Description:
For week of 18-24 Jan: (0+ 45.0+ 1.0+ T+ 0.5+ 0+ T)= 46.5mm+ T. Mildly Wet. High's: -4C to +6C; Low's: +2C to -14C WCh -21C; Winds: Mostly calm, one day WV gusts to 52km/hr; Frost: 0. The week began with bare ground. Then we had a big wet overnight snow, 10cm, SWE 45.0mm. Temps were erratic.  Wet SOG froze, then a partial melt, re-froze. SOG now hard and crusty, bare ground has many icy patches after melt, freeze. After a somewhat mild start to the week, temps cooling. A few flurries up to 1cm. A grey week with the rare blue patch of sky. No wildlife sightings. Peggy's cove Road has been pretty quiet, save for commuters. The inlet is now frozen over. Ice covers the shore boulders. Today is very cold, -14C with Wind Chill -21C. Advisories are out for cold temps, big winter storm coming Sun night. The Arctic Vortex is very busy across the country. Its FRIGID out there!!
