Jan. 13, - 23, 2026: NO precipitation, overcast, inversion air quality. Air has been calm. Little difference between overnight low temps. (low to mid 20's) and afternoon high tems in the mid- to low 30's. Classic inversion weather - cold with dense fog and solid cloud cover in the lower elevations of the basins; sunshine and warmer at higher elevations. No snow at lower or mid elevations; very little at upper elevations. Concerns are building for surface water supplies and wildland fire potentials because of the current lack of snowpack. Animals are very active searching for food. Flocks of robins, which normally move through the valley about this time of year, have not been seen or heard. Dreary, cold, damp, foggy, with no sunshine.
