It is very dry with no snow on the ground. There are reports of trees budding already. Skiing has been badly hurt. There will be losses of trees and shrubs which no not have snow protecting roots from deep freezes. Water supplies for summer irrigating will be badly decreased if we don't get snow soon. A near-by lake that normally stays frozen in the winter is open. Temperatures are quite low at night. We need some snow!
