November and December were so wet but we’ve had very little rain in January. It’s cold, windy or breezy and dry. The ground is hard enough to mow and the grass has grown with the last few weeks of warm weather. Daffodils are coming up, early varieties getting buds. Hellebores are blooming too. Tree buds are
still tight. No snowpack yo speak of in the mountains. It will be interesting this summer as we rely on snowpack for summer irrigation and recreation. There are already a lot of bugs - especially box elder bugs because of the warmer weather. Currently we’re a little cold and have had a freeze a couple times this week - unusual for January.
