0.00” of rain last week. It has been 50 days since we’ve had any precipitation that was meaningful and that was only just over half an inch. Hunt County remains under a Burn Ban but thankfully I haven’t seen any signs of grass fires in my area. This station is still at D0 drought status but about two-thirds of my County is now D1 status and heading my way. Dirt roads are dusty and cracks in the soil in the yard - same as last week. Temperatures were more seasonal last week generally highs in the 50s and 60s and morning lows in the 30s and 40s with the exception of yesterday morning when we dropped down to the coldest morning of the season at 21 degrees F. It’s been mostly sunny with a couple of windy days. Rain collection barrels are almost empty and shouldn’t be at this time of year - they should be collecting to help for plant watering next Summer. Still managing to get in outdoor exercise with the mild temperatures. Persistent dry conditions was the theme for last week.
