We received a few hundredths of precipitation from light snowfall. Temperatures are getting very cold with dry air surging south from the arctic. Creek flow is minimal and ponds are low. Typical midwinter weather continues aside from the inch of rain 10 days ago. Long term dryness is not apparent in conditions beyond how quickly the surface soil drys out. Lots of woodpeckers and doves. A few finches and juncos.
