winter and even fall temperatures have been mild. the number of nights that never got below freezing is astounding. when we have gotten precip, it has been very small. But, up in the mountains around us, the snow depths are normal, which means the farmers here will have water for their crops. So, it means safer wimter travel in the area, less energy to keep our homes warm, etc. etc.
