Pond level below normal.  The grass is unusually brown.  A lot of the brownness is due to the cold; but a lot also is due to the abnormally dry conditions for this time of the year.  Campbell County, Kenton County and Boone County had just entered D0 - Beginning of a Drought.  My station KY-CB-10 had only 0.85" of precipitation during the past 30 days which meets the criteria for DO - BEGINNING OF A DROUGHT which is less than 1" gauge during a 30 day period.  Both the HEUY mesonet station had 0.79" and the HTTS mesonet had only 0.86" during the past 30 days.  The CVG airport only had 0.96" during the past 30 days.  The Cocorahs Station KY-KN-15 had only 0.52" during the past 30 days.  Both the Ohio and Licking Rivers are near or slightly above pool stage which is unusual for this time of the year.  Stream flow is very low for this time of the year.  The pine trees are starting to show some minor stress due to the dryness.
