Description:
A dry week with unseasonably warm days in the 60s, but overnight lows averaging 38 degrees. The local rivers continue to drop, but not clearing very quickly. Arcata showing a noticeable increase in students as Cal Poly Humboldt begins the spring semester this week. The warm sunny days has brought out a lot of birds working the trees and shrubs for bugs, and small flocks of American Robins eating the pyracantha (fire thorn) berries. California Poppy, Blackberry and Sweet Fennel blooming and Acacia has begun blooming also, two days earlier than normal.
