Our conditions this week are Near Normal with 0.29" of precipitation falling over 5 days, some as rain/sleet and the rest in 4.0" of snow. The week had a snowpack ranging from 0" to 2.5". Daily high temperatures this week started above seasonal average, getting as high as 46F on Tuesday, and then dropping to seasonal average or below average during the second half of the week. The return of winter icy conditions caused many traffic mishaps and vehicles sliding off the highway. Birds and squirrels appear to be getting by pretty well so far this winter, one or two of the fat squirrels are sporting back scars that appear to be evidence of surviving an encounter with either a local hawk or cat.
