Snow is a bit below normal, and arriving in tiny amounts. We have had two big meltdowns, the latest on Mon.-Tues this week, with temps in the 40s. Drought is D1, with long-term deficit reflected in dry swamps, all frozen now. Deer and other wildlife are doing fine. Tourism is down, with adequate but marginal snow cover for ski and snowmobile trails. Cold and windy weekend.
