With the lack of snow and any precipitation it remains significantly dryer than typical for this time of year. Folks are out and about with little concern for bad roads or slippery walks. If we hadn't previously shut down irrigation for the winter due to freezing temps, I'd be watering trees and bushes.
Fjre danger is high.  Ski areas have finally opened thanks to snow making machines and it looks like snow up on  high mountain peaks.
