Description:
Flathead Lake is at Mid-Summer levels (near full poool) verified by news story in the Lake County Leader. Normally 5-6' lower this time of year as they draw it down to protect the docks. But this year the Rains have kept drainage flowing into the bays and melting our adjacent snowpack, which according to Big Mtn has passed 130" (in accumulated) snowfall this season. Currently showing a remaining settled summit base of 68". Also, we did a COCORAHS DEX profile of our station's year to year average on 1/1 (2026) and it was 10" above average rainfall in the calendar year 2025 (NOAA 30YR AVG)*. Authorities report as of last Tuesday the lake level was at 2892.5' and typically would be around 2882' (about 10' below full pool ) Reporting indications of upto 300% normal inflow.
