On the 10th and 11th we got our first significant rain for about 3 weeks with 1.35" over 2 days. The creek came up a little, so we turned on the small jet of the microhydro. After a day of rain, the temp fell to 18° with some flurries and snow pellets (graupel). On that day, the purple finches showed up again. Interestingly, they arrive with snow and leave the following day if there's no more snow. The drinking spring is unchanged and excellent. Despite the cold, we are still enjoying kale and carrots from the garden. I harvested the last of the cabbage (leaves) yesterday.
