Although it is very dry, the oak and juniper are hanging in there. The Live Oak trees (we have about 400) are beginning to drop leaves but the juniper seem to be OK for now. We are still seeing juniper seedlings pop up throughout the forested area. We have to water landscaping plants every 4 to 5 days but that’s really sort of normal for this time of year.  We have used good garden soil for planting so it does retain the moisture.
