Station Number: OK-TL-53
Station Name: Tulsa 1.4 S
Report Date: 1/10/2026
Submitted: 1/10/2026 5:29 PM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
Finally, some nice rain to report! 0.57"! A couple of rounds of storms Thursday morning were welcome despite a bunch of severe warnings. Otherwise on the warm side of normal most of the week but cooler at the beginning and end. Good week for outdoor work.

102 HDDs this week, maxing at 25 each for last Saturday and Sunday, lowest Thursday with an almost balmy 5. Fire has been a concern until the rains but conditions quickly returned to dry and breezy. No fires in the immediate vicinity though.

The Winter Jasmine is blooming! Seems awfully early but it will lend some cheer when I take the Christmas lights down. We were honored to be included in Tornado Watch #1 for Thursday morning's storm system! Several Severe warnings and two tornado warnings well north of Tulsa. Haven't heard of any touchdowns.

Local ponds and streams about normal, didn't observe any lingering effect from rain. Major lakes in the region same as last week. Major rivers showed a nice bump from the rain and are generally higher than this time last week but trending back down steadily.
