The area continues to dry out. We have reached masixmum dormancy in the area vegetation. I have measured only 0.11 inches of rain since November 24. That is only 5 percent of the 2.1 inch average for the period. The drought condition has remained unchanged since last week. The USGS reports the Llano River at Hwy 87 is flowing at 75 cfs. The record low is 63 cfs, the 53-year 25th percentile is 119 cfs, and the median is 156 cfs. The county is still under a burn ban effective Dec 22.
