Over the last 2 weeks, only 0.10” of rain has fallen, and that was in the last few days. This lack of rainfall has put York County, South Carolina in a “Moderately Dry” condition, and is borne out by the U.S. Drought Monitor map, showing a D1-Moderate Drought Intensity. It is too early in the month and year to do any statistical comparisons, but a general observation shows a dry winter landscape.
